Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan Tennis Federation (FAT) has already released the calendar for the National Youth Championships, for both sexes, to be played next August in Luanda.
According to the note from the FAT, signed by its vice-president, João Domingos Nsanda, the national competitions for youth and cadets (Under-14 and 16), for men and women, will take place from 7 to 10 August, in the fields of Academia do Kikuxi Villas Club, in the municipality of Viana.
Junior competitions (Under-18), also in both classes, are scheduled from the 10th to the 13th of that month, on the courts of the same sports establishment in the country’s capital.
The deadline for the respective registrations of the players ends on the 31st of July, which must be done by the provincial associations of the modality.
The FAT communication, aimed at members, clubs, schools, groups and individual athletes, also clarifies that it will bear the costs of accommodation and food for caravans outside Luanda.
Luanda Tennis Club (CTL), Kikuxi, IMEL, Kifica (the country’s capital) and tennis players from the provinces of Benguela, Namibe and Lunda Norte are the strong candidates for triumphs in the different categories.
