Africa-Press – Angola. The search for mechanisms to deepen bilateral relations between the republics of Angola and Guinea-Bissau was at the center of an audience granted this Tuesday, in Bissau, to the Angolan ambassador in this country, Mário Augusto, by President Umaro Sissoco Rocked.
The fact was made public by the Angolan diplomat on the way out of the audience in which he was the bearer of a special message from the Angolan President, João Lourenço, to his Guinean counterpart.
Ambassador Mário Augusto stressed that, in the missive, the Angolan statesman “João Lourenço congratulated his Guinean counterpart for organizing the legislative elections in an orderly, democratic, transparent, exemplary and fair manner”.
The Angolan diplomat took the opportunity to congratulate the PAI – Terra Ranka coalition, winner of the legislative elections on June 4th of the current year, hoping that the future government can cohabit with all the other political parties.
This, he stressed, “so that it can continue prosperity and promote stability for all Guineans”.
Augusto Mário was appointed extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Angola to Guinea-Bissau, on September 12, 2022, and delivered the Letters of Credence to the Guinean head of state, on December 22 of the same year.
