Africa-Press – Angola. More than 3,000 citizens from the Mucolongo district, in the municipality of Camanongue, northern Moxico province, started this Tuesday to benefit from birth registration and medical and medication assistance, as part of a project called “Administration in my regedoria”.
The project by the Municipal Administration of Camanongue could be extended to four departments in the district, bringing State services closer to citizens, namely medical consultations in the specialties of pediatrics, medicine, prenatal consultations, as well as guidance on farming techniques, between others.
According to the municipal administrator of Camanongue, Irene da Conceição, the project aims to respond to the various concerns of these communities, in consultation processes, within the framework of proximity governance.
In terms of agricultural production, he said that the idea involves guiding local farmers, for the best use and maximization of support for seeds and inputs that benefit from the local Administration.
In the act of launching this project, the leader consulted the population who again asked for the improvement of concerns related to the lack of water, poor condition of access roads and reinforcement of medical and medication assistance.
Regarding the access roads, Irene da Conceição said that she will ask the provincial Infrastructure office to improve the road, using the earthmoving kit that the province has, to improve traffic between communities.
The activity, which takes place within the scope of the Program to Combat Hunger and Poverty, will cover the four councils of the municipality, namely Muancandala, Sambavo, Muxiringinge and Mucolongo.
