Played three rounds, the chess player won all matches and surpassed his arch-rival, Agostinho Diogo, holder of the title, who recorded his first defeat against Santos Puri, from Núcleo Giga de Luanda, who rose to the second position in the general ranking table, with 3 points.
In third place is chess player Adilson João with 2.5 points, followed by Adilson do Rosário, Agostinho Diogo, Avelino Fernandes, José dos Santos and João Francisco, all with 2 points each.
Gelson Arão and Ralph Assunção occupy the last places (16th and 17th), with only 0.5 points each.
The competition runs until Friday (7th), with the participation of 17 athletes from the provinces of Malanje, Luanda, Benguela and Cuanza Sul and is being played in the Swiss system, over 9 rounds.
Wednesday, the 4th and 5th rounds are played.
