Africa-Press – Angola. The provincial secretary of JURA, UNITA’s youth branch in Zaire province, Nzuzi Diatuka Neves, called this Friday in Mbanza Kongo for a greater contribution from local youth in the development process of the region and the country.

The official was speaking at a press conference, which marked the opening of activities alluding to JURA’s national day, which is celebrated on July 18, which marks the 49th anniversary of the death of the organization’s patron, David Jonatão Chingunji “Samumbwila”.

He considered fundamental the affirmation of the youth and their active involvement in the construction of the future of the country, emphasizing that this social layer has a fundamental role in the transformation of society.

“It is necessary for each one of us to take on a leading role, promoting positive actions and actively participating in the political, social and cultural life of our country”, he reiterated.

He also appealed for JURA’s commemorative days to be marked by deep reflections, constructive dialogues and a renewed commitment to the Nation.

The JURA conferences take place throughout the entire province, during this month, with activities of a political, cultural, recreational and philanthropic nature, according to the provincial secretary.

The provincial act on 18 July, which will mark the end of activities, according to the source, will take place in the capital, Mbanza Kongo.
