More than 100 young people complete training in arts and crafts in Cuando Cubango

Africa-Press – Angola. One hundred and 11 young people concluded Friday, in the city of Menongue, Cuando Cubango province, the first cycle of training in arts and crafts, in an initiative of the National Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (INEFOP).

For six months, the finalists benefited from training in the areas of civil construction, cutting and sewing, joinery, carpentry, electricity and mechanics.

Speaking at the closing act, the director of the Integrated Economic Office in Cuando Cubango, Afonso Dala, referred that the training action will facilitate the insertion of young people in the labor market and promote citizenship.

“It is a clear commitment from INEFOP to training staff in various sectors of knowledge, contributing to the fight against unemployment, hunger and poverty within families”, he stressed.

On the occasion, the head of INEFOP provincial services in Cuando Cubango, Xavier Tchicuata, said that the institution will continue to work to guarantee, on an ongoing basis, the training of young people and employability.

In a message, the graduates praised the Executive’s commitment to providing technical and professional training to young people and adults in the region, with a view to guaranteeing the livelihood of their families and leveraging the development of the province.

Cuando Cubango has INEFOP training units in the municipalities of Menongue, Cuito Cuanavale and Cuchi.
