Africa-Press – Angola. Twenty thousand 574 families in the municipalities of Songo and Mucaba, in Uíge province, have benefited, since December 2021, from a total of 339 thousand 770 Kwanzas, under the Program for the Strengthening of Social Protection (Kwenda).
Of the total number of beneficiary families, 11,392 are from the municipality of Songo and 9,182 from Mucaba.
In an interview this Monday, the provincial director of FAS in Uíge, Nanizaiawo Capitão, announced that Kwenda could benefit, in the coming days, 12 thousand and 888 needy families from the Songo municipality, 9 thousand 328 from Mucaba and 12 thousand 521 from Cangola.
He referred that each household will now benefit, in six months, from 66 thousand Kwanzas, surpassing the previous 51 thousand Kwanzas.
He added that the work on validating the provisional lists of households and complaints had already been completed, noting that the process of technical validation of the beneficiaries’ files was currently underway and payments would be made later.
As for beneficiaries who have not yet received their amounts for various reasons, he said they will benefit from retroactive payments.
FAS in Uíge will implement the productive inclusion program, an initiative that may count on the participation of families associated with cooperatives and agricultural associations.
