Africa-Press – Angola. Lectures, solidarity actions, political formations and cultural activities will mark the commemorations of the anniversary of JURA, a youth organization of the UNITA party, in Bengo province.

The event takes place on the 18th of July and aims to reinforce citizenship.

The journey will take place throughout the month and will reach its high point on the 29th with the holding of the provincial act in the municipality of Dembos.

At a press conference, the provincial secretary of JURA in Bengo, Alfredo Cláudio Quintas, highlighted the importance of the party in raising the political, academic and legal awareness of the province’s youth.

“The youth of Bengo has a culture of high citizenship and has held gatherings related to political and social issues in the municipality, province and country, which did not happen before”, he stressed.

He asked for greater inclusion of young people in the Executive’s programs to prevent them from engaging in crime, prostitution or drug use.

Founded on October 28, 1974, the event began to be celebrated on July 18, 1976, the date of the death of its patron.
