Governor of Uíge announces earthworks on via Sanza/Cuilo Pombo

Africa-Press – Angola. The road that connects the commune of Cuilo Pombo to the municipal seat of Sanza-Pombo, in the province of Uíge, will be leveled over the next few days to improve the circulation of vehicles and the flow of agricultural production, announced the governor of the region, José Carvalho da Rocha.

The minister, who has been working since Monday for three days, said that “the intention is to improve the mobility of our brothers who live here in Cuilo Pombo”.

By way of example, he referred to the works that are being carried out in the locality, in the areas of Education, Health, road rehabilitation, bridges, agriculture and other concerns presented by the authorities of that locality.

In the municipality, José Carvalho da Rocha, who evaluated the projects of the Integrated Plan of Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM) and the Program to Combat Hunger and Poverty, held separate meetings with the municipality authorities.

Still in the municipality’s seat, the governor visited the Photovoltaic Center of Sanza Pombo and went to see up close the progression of a ravine that threatens to “swallow” dozens of houses.

After hearing and noting the main difficulties of the population, he promised to do everything, within the priorities of the provincial government, to overcome these shortcomings, starting with the improvement of access roads, being the main constraint that afflicts that population.

Tuesday, the minister is working in the Uamba commune, where he will also follow a similar route.
