Africa-Press – Angola. Six hundred young people, 250 of whom are female, concluded Wednesday, in Zaire province, professional training courses in arts and crafts, promoted by the National Institute of Employment and Professional Training (INEFOP).
The closing ceremony was presided over by the deputy governor of Zaire for the political, social and economic sector, Afonso Nzolameso, who, on the occasion, highlighted the massive presence of women in this first phase of basic courses that took place in the municipalities of Mbanza Kongo, Soyo , Nzeto and Cuimba.
The official encouraged young women in the region to continue with this determination, also highlighting the fact that most of the finalists had attended and successfully completed courses in electricity, mechanics, locksmithing, plumbing.
For six months, courses in pastry, masonry, IT and cooking were also given.
The deputy governor encouraged young people to bet more on entrepreneurship, as a solution for reducing unemployment rates in the region, having highlighted the Action Plan for the Promotion of Employability (PAPE), designed by the Executive for this purpose.
He also highlighted the fact that 50 of the 600 finalists of this first phase, referring to the current year, already have guaranteed jobs in the company that executes the works of the new international airport of Mbanza Kongo, in the commune of Nkiende.
INEFOP in Zaire has trained, since 2006, 15,300 young people in various specialties.
