National Assembly trains officials from provincial centers

Africa-Press – Angola. Officials assigned to the Support Centers for Members of the Electoral Districts of the northern region of the country were trained, this Thursday, in Mbanza Kongo, province of Zaire, on issues of an administrative and financial nature.

In addition to staff from the Support Center for Members of the Local Circle, staff from the provinces of Uíge, Cabinda, Bengo, Malanje and Cuanza Norte participated in this methodological meeting.

The event was chaired by the secretary general of the National Assembly (AN), Pedro Agostinho de Neri, and addressed topics related to the challenges of managing human capital in the local offices of the National Assembly.

Financial and patrimonial management, the new perspective of the organization and functioning of the parliamentary administration, among others, were also the themes raised in this second methodological meeting of this year.

On the occasion, the secretary general of AN, who was speaking at the opening ceremony, called for the union of the staff of this sovereign body, with a view to improving the methods of operation from the point of view of information about the institution.

He explained that these methodological meetings will allow all employees assigned to the AN to have access to detailed information on the functioning of the “house of laws” and be able to contribute to greater productivity, with a focus on the objectives and requirements of the institution.

“Good management lies in the ability to share aspects of a technical, technological and personal nature”, he asserted.

Methodological meetings of the kind are planned, in the next few days, in the east of the country, which covers the provinces of Moxico, Lundas Norte and Sul, after having been held in the southern region of Angola.
