Africa-Press – Angola. The Department of Information and Propaganda (DIP) of the Provincial Committee of the MPLA in Cunene encouraged the Angola Press Agency, to continue with the task of reporting impartially and rigorously, on the basis of ethics and professional deontology.

The encouragement was expressed by Virgílio Hidinitango, from the DIP of the MPLA Provincial Committee, at the end of a visit to the premises of the delegation in Cunene, carried out on Tuesday.

The spokesperson for the delegation, Virgílio Hidinitango, highlighted the organizational level and technical quality of the professionals at the country’s only news agency covering topics of public interest.

“The professionals have carried out their role with responsibility and a spirit of mission”, expressed the spokesperson for the delegation.

Virgílio Hidinitango informed that the visit is part of the visit program of the DIP in Cunene to public and private media bodies in the province to assess the degree of operation and any difficulties they face.

During the visit, the staff were informed about the institution’s role in collecting, processing and disseminating news about the national and international reality.

It was created in July 1975, under the name Agência Nacional Angola Press (ANAP). At first, his works were distributed in the form of a printed bulletin, until, on October 30 of the same year, he launched his first telegraphic dispatch.
