Africa-Press – Angola. The population of the centrality of Zango 5, municipality of Icolo e Bengo, Luanda province, now has the first informal market in the area, opened Wednesday, by the municipal administrator, Nelson Funete.

The market, built in an area of ​​three hectares, has 86 stores and 300 counters for the sale of different products, from food, beverages, furniture, appliances and much more.

The space that now brings together street vendors who used to work in Centralidade is the result of a partnership with the Angolan construction company Cris Rossamba.

In the opening act, the municipal administrator of Icolo e Bengo, Nelson Funete, said that the delivery of the market is the fulfillment of a promise made in December this year, to the residents of the centrality.

“This step shows that we are committed to solving the problems of the population, in this case, the residents of Zango 5”, said the official.

The administrator appealed to vendors and residents to maintain market hygiene, to prevent disease and guarantee healthy food.

For her part, the businesswoman, Cris Rossamba, the builder of the market, said that the conditions to accommodate the sellers have been created, waiting only for the spaces to be occupied.

The centrality of Zango 8000 is a housing project developed in the Municipality of Icolo e Bengo, designed to house an estimated population of 48,000 inhabitants, who occupy the 8,000 dwellings.
