Before this defeat, the team from Huambo, who rested on the third round due to calendar imperative, lost in the opening of the competition against Desportivo Gaiatos de Benguela, by 18-31, in the second, with Sporting de Cabinda, by 20-24, and in the fourth, with 1o de Agosto, by 13-40.
With this sequence of results, the hosts conditioned their passage to the quarter-finals, giving advantage to Sporting de Cabinda, ranked fourth in the series with two points and playing this afternoon with Desportivo Gaiatos de Benguela.
As a result, the Huambo squad will wait, at the end of the 5th round, which will be played this afternoon, for the fifth place in series B, for the 9th and 10th place qualifiers.
Interclube B, on the other hand, has five points and remains in second place in the A series, led by 1o de Agosto, current champions, with eight.
In the continuation of the fifth and final round of the competition, which registers the champion’s break, Interclube A, runner-up, will play with Sagrada Esperança, while Grupo Desportivo Hadja Models will face FC de Cabinda, all for series B, where Grupo Desportivo da Banca will rest.
