Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, highlighted this Tuesday the progress made by the Republic of Korea in recent decades and the relevant role in supporting the development of its international partners.
In a message to his counterpart from the Republic of Korea, on the occasion of National Independence Day, João Lourenço expressed the desire of the Angolan State to be among the main international partners of the Asian country.
“I believe that our two countries will work together to reap reciprocal benefits from the intensification of bilateral cooperation”, expressed the President of the Republic in the letter to Yoon Suk-Yeo.
On behalf of the Angolan Executive and himself, the Statesman congratulated the People, the Korean Government and President Yoon Suk-Yeo, on the date that marks.
The Republic of Korea and Angola established diplomatic relations on January 6, 1992, having opened the Embassy of the Asian country in Luanda in 2007.
The Angolan Embassy in Korea has been in existence since 2008 and relationships have been continuously developed in the fields of Politics, Economy, Society, Culture and others.
Independent since August 15, 1948, the Republic of Korea is a country in East Asia, located in the southern part of the Korean Peninsula.
