Africa-Press – Angola. The governor of Huíla, Nuno Mahapi, Thursday, called on Huila supporters to “adopt” 1o de Agosto and Académica do Lobito as their teams, filling Tundavala Stadium on Sunday, where both teams start the race for the group stage of the Afrocups.
For the governor, who was speaking to journalists, it is not so important which team the Huila supporter is, this Sunday the support should fall to the Angolans who will play in Lubango, a support that seems crucial for them to reach the group stage.
“We are all going to the stadium, we are going to give our unconditional support, because they are representatives of our country”, appealed the governor.
The Angolan teams will use the Lubango stadium, due to the ongoing works at the 11 de Novembro stadium (Luanda) and the poor condition of the venues at Buraco and Ombaka, in Benguela.
The first game will be at 3 pm and will pit 1o de Agosto against AS Vita Clube de Kinshasa, from the DRC. The second is scheduled for 7 pm and will pit Académica do Lobito against La Passe of the Seyxchelles Islands.
