Africa-Press – Angola. The second provincial secretary of the MPLA in Cuanza Sul, António Wenga Franco, defended Friday, in the city of Sumbe, the strengthening of cohesion and union within the OMA militants, for the revitalization of the organization in the region.

Speaking at the end of the first extraordinary meeting of the OMA Provincial Committee, the politician asked for greater commitment and dedication from the staff to the party’s tasks, in order to face future challenges.

On the occasion, the official exhorted the militants to actively participate in the balance sheet assemblies and renewal of mandates in the organization’s basic structures, a process that will culminate in the election of the new provincial secretary.

On the other hand, he appealed to the OMA militants to continue supporting the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, who, despite the economic situation the country is experiencing, has done everything to improve the social and economic problems that affect the population.

Under the motto “Angolan women participation, inclusion and development”, during the meeting the members of the Provincial Committee of the OMA appreciated the resolution of the Political Bureau of the party on the candidacy for the position of provincial secretary of the OMA, as well as the process of preparation of the assemblies of the Seles and Quibala committees for the election of new municipal secretaries.

The meeting was attended by members of the Central Committee of the MPLA, the Council of Honor and the Executive Committee of the OMA.
