Africa-Press – Angola. Transportadora Aérea Angolana (TAAG) increased, Saturday, one more flight on the route Luanda to Cabinda and vice versa, aiming to mitigate the flow of passengers.
In its statement made public on Friday, the Angolan flag carrier (TAAG Linhas Aéreas de Angola) added this new frequency, thus increasing it to 30 weekly flights.
TAAG looks at the Cabinda domestic route, with a higher occupancy rate and cargo volume, as a destination with high traffic, where the current 30 weekly flights available, 25 are operated by a larger aircraft, of the Boeing-737-type. 700, with capacity for 120 passengers, and 5 services with the Dash 8-400 model, with capacity for 74 passengers.
Thus, on Mondays there will be 4 daily flights, the same number on Tuesdays, on Wednesdays, with 5 flights, the same on Thursdays and Fridays, Saturdays with 4 flights, while on Sundays, only three flights operate.
With this increase in flights, TAAG responds positively to the expectations of its passengers and to market demand indicators, the document also reads.
TAAG was founded in 1938 and is based in Luanda. For over 80 years, the company has been connecting Angolans through domestic and international connections.
It is a leading company in the aviation market in Angola, recognized globally and with sustained growth, currently offering 12 domestic destinations and 13 international destinations.
In addition to passenger transport, its fleet also transports cargo, an increasingly essential service for the development of the local ecosystem.
