Africa-Press – Angola. The national junior women’s handball team defeated Sunday, the similar team from Côte d’Ivoire, by 43-19, in a challenge in the third round (group A), of the African Championship, taking place in Monastir (Tunisia).
The African champions were already leading at half-time (23-9). Angolan Elizabeth Belo was elected MVP of the challenge.
With this triumph, the national team leads the group with six points.
On Tuesday, the Angolan women will face Guinea, at the end of the group stage.
In the first round, Angola defeated Kenya, 54-9, and beat the Democratic Republic of Congo, 49-9, in the second round.
