Africa-Press – Angola. UNITA parliamentarians appealed to citizens in the Central-South Region to update data or carry out the official electoral registration, as this is the only way that enables populations to exercise the right to vote.

The appeal was launched yesterday in Andulo, during a visit to One-Stop Public Service Desks (BUAP), to assess the technical conditions and the adherence of people of voting age, at a time when the process has entered its final phase. Deputy Araújo Pena, told the press, that the teams face some difficulties in serving the public, due to low internet signal, but they received guarantees from those responsible that the situation will be overcome with the reinforcement of the extension of services.

The UNITA delegation, headed by deputy Maria Luísa, however, held a courtesy meeting with the municipal administrator of Andulo, Celeste Adolfo, to whom he mentioned that the trips to the municipalities result from the monitoring mechanisms for socio-economic development programs implemented in the province. from Bié.

Celeste Adolfo underlined that, “for this visit, our objective is to assess the social situation of the populations, as well as verify the impact of the various programs and actions underway in the Center-South region of the country”. from UNITA, who are holding parliamentary days in Bié province, visited other municipalities, where they also learned about the functioning of public institutions and the progress of social projects.
