Africa-Press – Angola. The Federal Data Processing Service (SERPRO) of Brazil and the Public Finance Information and Communication Technologies Service (SETIC-FP) of Angola sign, on last Tuesday, in Brasília, a bilateral cooperation agreement.

The agreement, which portends excellent levels of cooperation, states that the partnership will contribute to the promotion, modernization and development of information and communication technologies in Angola.

The agreement gives priority to strengthening cooperation and strategic partnership between both institutions.

For the General Director of SETIC-FP, Edilson Coelho, the memorandum is the recovery of an exchange that began in 2008, when they had the opportunity to visit a Brazilian public Software portal, during an event in Luanda.

For his part, the president director of SERPO, Alexandre Amorim, made a point of highlighting that it marks the beginning of a new era in cooperation between Brazil and Angola, especially in the search and exchange of knowledge, innovation and solutions in the area of ​​technology. information.

During their stay in Brasília, the Angolan delegation participated in several meetings linked to the sector and explored joint business opportunities.

SERPRO in Brazil is “umbilically” linked to the Ministry of Finance, while, in Angola, SETIC-FP is an integral part of the Ministry of Finance.
