Therefore, the minister encouraged young Angolans to remain calm and firm in the face of the adversities they face, in the hope that a new page of prosperity will be opened, if everyone does their best.

On the occasion, Palmira Barbosa recognized the contribution that young entrepreneurs have made to the increase and diversification of local production and the supply of goods and services in the country, with emphasis on creating jobs and combating hunger and poverty.

In relation to the cooperation protocol initialed between the Angolan Youth Institute and the Association of Businessmen of Angola, the minister considered it to be an instrument capable of contributing to the resolution of the numerous socio-economic problems of young people, through the gradual creation of sources of fixed income , based on the formal economy.

Recent graduates in entrepreneurship in the bakery chain, Bruna de Almeida and Simão Manuel, praised the initiative of the associated businesspeople in financing young people’s projects.

The first phase, which runs until the second half of 2024, plans to train a thousand young people in entrepreneurship and assign the respective kits, so that they can start their businesses and produce more than 150 thousand units of bread and savory snacks.

The second phase will cover the remaining 17 provinces of the country, focusing on training in agri-business and small industry.
