The candidate for National Counselor of the Angolan Bar Association (OAA) on list E, Hochai Adriano, stated that if they win, on December 11th, the priority is to immediately ensure the practice of law and promote the increase in judicial sponsorship indicators across the country.
When presenting the proposals for the lines of force in this city, the lawyer stated that the list led by Sebastião Vinte e Cinco also intends to establish mechanisms that preventively ensure the rights and prerogatives of lawyers in the exercise of their profession with the support of the courts, PGR, SIC, National Police, as well as justice system operators.
He considered that the intention is to promote advocacy that is closer to the citizen, as an essential function for the good administration of justice, under a liberal profession regime, including access to financing under different conditions for law firms and associations.
He highlighted that all these factors are based on three fundamental pillars, namely advocacy, training and studies, as well as institutional cooperation.
He considered that similar to the desire to maintain ties with partners, this candidacy will promote rapprochement with its African counterparts.
He highlighted the importance of Huíla in this process, as it is the second largest place for lawyers in the country, after Luanda.
Five other candidates are also competing for the OAA’s top cauldron, namely from list A led by the lawyer, Vicente Pongolola, B by Henriqueta da Silva, C by José Luís and D headed by José Carlos. The seller will replace the president of OAA, Luís Paulo Monteiro.
