Africa-Press – Angola. The president of the Supreme Court of Angola, Joel Leonardo, will participate, from the 27th to the 29th of this month, in Brasília (Brazil), in the 11th Forum of Presidents of the Supreme Courts of Portuguese-speaking Countries and Territories.
The meeting’s motto is “the judiciary and new technologies”, with Angola’s intervention scheduled for this Monday, on the topic “the digitalization of courts”, according to a note from the Supreme Court.
The forum brings together presidents of the Supreme, Appeal and Final Instance courts of Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, Macau Special Administrative Region, São Tomé and Príncipe and East Timor.
It is an organization of consultation and judicial cooperation between the highest judicial bodies of these countries that aims to stimulate dialogue between the respective supreme courts, magistrates and officials, with a view, in particular, to the effectiveness of judicial bodies and access to citizens to the courts.
Likewise, it aims to promote the exchange of experiences and information in the field of judicial, jurisprudential and bibliographic cooperation.
