This Thursday, the spokesperson for the Civil Protection and Fire Service (SPCB) in Uíge, Júnior Changa, said that the rains displaced 810 people.
He pointed out the municipalities of Uíge (capital of the province), Mucaba, Quimbele, Milunga, Quitexe, Cangola, Púri and Bungo, as the most affected locations.
To mitigate the consequences of rain in the region, the SPCB in Uíge has carried out awareness campaigns and distributed booklets, containing advice on the dangers of construction in risk areas and other information.
