Africa-Press – Angola. Nine British businessmen have been working in the country since Monday to strengthen partnerships for investment in the mining sector.
The delegation of English people dedicated to mineral exploration, headed by the ambassador, Roger Stringer, worked yesterday in the municipality of Longonjo, province of Huambo, where British companies, in partnership with Angolan counterparts, such as Pensana and Ozango Minerais, are developing prospection.
The Longonjo “NdPr” Project, the well-known gold of the 21st century, is a joint venture of the Pensana and Ozango Minerais companies. Longonjo has the potential to become the first major “NdPr” rare earth mine in Africa, which represents an opportunity for the diversification of the national economy, through the minerals industry.
The governor of Huambo, Lotti Nolika, was willing to help the British Embassy to establish a partnership between businessmen from both countries in the mining area. Lotti Nolika took the opportunity to express her interest in British entrepreneurs and invited them to explore other areas of local economic development, such as Agriculture and Tourism.
Today was reserved for the British to work in Lobito, Benguela province, where businessmen must establish new contacts for other investments, also in the mining sector.
In Lobito, mining investors should also explore the “Corredor do Lobito”, the monster hidden in the Benguela Railway (CFB) and in the powerful Port of Lobito, which facilitate the realization of all investment projects, since they serve as a gateway to and from any commodity, such as those resulting from the exploration of ores, for commercialization abroad.
Before the delegation’s return to England, on Saturday, the businessmen should, at a press conference scheduled for tomorrow, discuss the results of the contacts they concluded in Angola, the possible partnerships and investment opportunities.
