Africa-Press – Angola. Angola participates, from Monday until Tuesday, in Kampala, Uganda, in the preparatory technical meeting for the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, to be held in the coming days.
According to a press release, over the next two days, delegates are expected to work in two committees, one for political matters and the other for economics and social issues, which have the mission of preparing documentation for the meeting ministerial meeting on January 17th and 18th, 2024.
The work of technical delegations from 120 countries and observer organizations of the Non-Aligned Movement corresponds to the first of three specific sessions that integrate the ministerial segment and the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, scheduled for January 19 and 20, 2024 , in Kampala.
The Angolan technical team is made up of ambassadors Sara Silva, director of Multilateral Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Sianga Abílio, Angolan ambassador to Uganda, residing in Kenya, in addition to employees from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the diplomatic mission.
The Non-Aligned Movement is a concert of nations that, among various objectives of general interest, promotes friendly relations between countries, defending the peaceful resolution of international disputes, in addition to investing in the protection of Human Rights and the Environment.
