Africa-Press – Angola. The National Diamond Company of Angola (Endiama) will work to internationalize business in the diamond subsector to broaden its horizons and boost the national industry, announced in Luanda, its chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA), José Ganga Junior.

According to the person responsible, this perspective results from the fact that, to date, there is no Endiama representative abroad, taking into account its size and corporate purpose.

He therefore said that the company intends to have antennas or productions in regions such as Dubai and Hong Kong and other parts of mainland China, to boost its industry”.

José Ganga Júnior was speaking during a press conference, held as part of the review of the activities carried out by the company, in 2023.

He made it known that the opening of a diamond cutting company entirely owned by Endiama, that is, without participation or partnerships, is also part of the plans for this year.

Since the creation of Endiama, several projects have created more than 20 thousand jobs, compared to the 12 thousand previously existing, he said.

Currently, he indicated, the country has a diamond cutting capacity of around 480 thousand carats, which corresponds to an installed capacity of seven factories.
