Africa-Press – Angola. A total of 14 thousand 960 liters of fuel, destined for illegal sale, were seized in the last 72 hours, by the National Police, in the municipality of Bailundo, Huambo province.

In a press release, the National Police Command in the province of Huambo states that there are nine thousand 960 liters of gasoline and five thousand of diesel, stored clandestinely.

This intention of smugglers, we read, aims to make an easy profit by storing and selling fuel in inappropriate locations and without adopting security measures.

Without revealing the number of detainees, the National Police assured that it was working on identifying more clandestine storage facilities.

The municipality of Bailundo, whose headquarters is located 75 kilometers north of the city of Huambo, has an extension of seven thousand and 65 square kilometers, which make up its five municipalities, namely Bimbe, Hengue, Lunge, Luvemba and the municipal headquarters, where more than 372 thousand inhabitants live.
