The General Tax Administration (AGT), in partnership with the National Institute of Support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM), has been training, since this Monday, in the city of Menongue, province of Cuando Cubango, resident entrepreneurs about fiscal education and citizenship, for paying taxes.

For two days, participants will improve their knowledge of the Angolan tax system, labor income tax, industrial tax with a focus on the simplified regime and micro, small and medium-sized companies.

It also includes taxes on value added, excise taxes, motor vehicles, property taxation, invoice regime and equivalent documents, issuance of invoices on the portal and the stamp and legal tax regime on the Tax Identification Number (NIF).

At the opening of the seminar, the head of INAPEM services in Cuando Cubango, Jacob Paulo, explained that the training action’s main objective is to increase the skills of company managers to face the various programs and projects of the Angolan Executive, to give a face to a more robust and competitive market economy.

According to him, it is important that businesspeople and cooperative members understand the importance of this topic, which aims to make companies more consistent and robust, in order to respond to market demands and, at the same time, reduce insolvencies as much as possible.

He considered the training cycle a platform that serves to listen to the various problems that affect economic agents, as well as promoting education for paying taxes and sharing information on the tax calendar, creating conditions for companies’ fiscal responsibility to be carried out within the deadlines. provided for by law, in accordance with the Tax Code.

“The training cycle will also help public managers to acquire more solid knowledge to be successful in their day-to-day commercial activity, as well as to provide quality services”, he added.

Jacob Paulo expects a clear and participatory approach from trainers and technicians in the General Tax Administration, so that, in the end, trainees are able to rigorously fulfill their tax payment obligations.
