Africa-Press – Angola. The 7th Tax Region, which comprises the provinces of Lunda-Sul, Lunda-Norte and Moxico, launched this Thursday, in Saurimo, the inspection campaign called “Informal Operation” aimed at economic operators, to assess compliance with the your tax obligations.
Speaking to the press, the regional director of AGT, in Lunda Sul, José Viagem, stated that the operation essentially aims to guarantee the adequate registration of taxpayers, the registration of establishments, for the purpose of property tax collections, as well as monthly control payment of tax obligations.
He explained that the activity aims to register taxpayers who are not registered in the AGT database, as well as reducing the informality rate, ensuring the expansion of the tax base, providing greater revenue collection for the General State Budget (OGE).
He added that the measure covers all economic operators that are not registered and those that are registered and authorized to carry out sales, close to population centers.
He said that every commercial establishment will be inspected, from medium, small and large, as well as warehouse owners who do not contribute the revenue that corresponds to their business.
He said that this operation will combat unfair competition, since a small commercial sector complies with payment standards.
He highlighted that this informal operation is expected to reach two thousand economic operators in Lunda Sul and will be continuous.
He guaranteed that the technicians, in the first phase, will dialogue with the traders pedagogically, subsequently, everyone in an irregular situation will have eight days to regularize, otherwise the AGT will act coercively.
