Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of National Defense, Former Combatants and Veterans of the Fatherland, João Ernesto dos Santos, urged the Military Heads of the FAA to redouble their engagement in the ongoing process of restructuring, resizing and re-equipping.
When speaking, Wednesday, at the closing of the FAA Military Leadership Meeting, he said it was necessary for the leadership to be fully available for any mission entrusted to them, in favor of effectively guaranteeing the social stability and development of the country.
“They must also continue on the path of permanent training of personnel, in activities included in the years of Combative, Operational and Educational-Patriotic Instruction and Preparation, with high levels of Discipline, Readiness and sense of mission”, he highlighted.
According to the minister, the leaders of the Angolan Armed Forces must always be ready to act and react in a timely manner, in defense and safeguarding the national interests of the Angolan State and the organizations of which they are an integral part.
Meanwhile, João Ernesto dos Santos asked all military personnel to take care of the resources made available to them, as they are very important in the process of consolidating the Angolan military institution and the National Security and Defense System.
According to the minister, the Angolan Executive, through its ministerial departments of National Defense, Former Combatants and Veterans of the Country and Finance, remain committed to mobilizing resources to continue the construction of infrastructures aimed at improving working conditions and quartering.
In this particular, he referred to the construction of military hospitals and housing for personnel, as well as the acquisition of resources and equipment to meet current and future challenges arising from the extremely unpredictable situation. The Minister of National Defense, Former Combatants and Veterans of the Fatherland informed that Angola continues to focus on the practical implementation of economic and social reforms to bring the development that the people desire and combat regional asymmetries with the aim of uniting Angola for a present future.
