Africa-Press – Angola. The path and prospects for economic growth and development in the province of Moxico were discussed, this Friday, in Luena, by the local academic class, in a workshop organized by the MPLA Provincial Committee.
The meeting that took place at the headquarters of this party aimed to analyze the implementation of public policies aimed at the province of Moxico, in the social, political and economic aspects.
On the occasion, the second secretary of the MPLA in Moxico, Bento Luembe Paulino, highlighted the importance of dialogue as a strategic tool for promoting well-being, growth and economic development.
It also encouraged the permanent training and qualification of men, with a view to raising collective awareness, as well as to stimulate the value of work.
In turn, Alberto Nhumbo, a member of this party, defended public policies and approaches to the province of Moxico must be inclusive, with a sense of distributive justice.
On the other hand, it encouraged greater dynamism in the MPLA’s specialty committees in Moxico, functioning as an observatory of the main social phenomena occurring in the province and the consequent suggestion of actions to overcome the problems.
As factors that make the development of the province unfeasible, he pointed out bureaucracy in institutions, high tax burden, out of adjustment with the reality of the region, costs for opening new jobs, as well as the weak culture of the value of work and belief in fetishism.
The event, which brought together members integrated into the specialty committees of this political formation, cyber-activists and academics, had as its background the promotion and reflections on the growth of the province.
