The president of the Executive Committee of “Viva Seguros”, Damien Veerapatren, said, Tuesday, in Luanda that they are having positive results in the work they are carrying out with around 100 thousand family farmers in different provinces of the country.Damien Veerapatren guaranteed that this pilot project, developed since 2015, began to bear positive results and with the help of several partners and the government, is showing good rates of boosting agricultural industrialization in Angola. “Family production is already bearing good fruit, and we will continue to support our farmers in ensuring their harvests so that they can produce with quality and quantity”, highlighted Damien Veerapatren.
The president of the Executive Committee of Viva Seguros stated that although farmers follow all parameters in the course of their activities, there is always the risk of weather and pests that can ruin work carried out with a lot of effort and dedication. And, he added that in these cases, the insurance company is present to help cover these losses, so that farmers do not lose all the work carried out. “When these unexpected situations occur, we compensate and provide ways for farmers to continue with their crops without losing what was initially invested”, he highlighted.
Asked about the facilities that the insurance company “Viva Seguros” provides to farmers, Damien Veerapatren highlighted that in the event of a deviation, that is, the expected harvest yield fails due to various factors, the farmer does not lose out.
