Africa-Press – Angola. The German ambassador to Angola, Stefan Traumann, expressed this Tuesday, in Moçâmedes, his country’s interest in identifying business opportunities in Namibe to invest and reinforce cooperation between two countries.
Speaking to the press after his arrival in the province of Namibe, where he is working a two-day working day, the diplomat highlighted the sectors of renewable energy, logistics, environment, sea, economic security, biodiversity and tourism, areas of interest to German businesspeople.
By highlighting the province’s tourism potential, he defended the need to develop infrastructures to support tourist activity, such as hotel chains, highways, tourism agencies, among others.
Stefan Traumann stressed that his country will study the possibility of boosting the tourism industry in Namibe, given the experience it has accumulated over the years in promoting tourist activity.
“Sport fishing and other attractions that Namibe offers could be developed in the future and Germany has experience in tourism, hence the need to develop these possibilities together”, he concluded.
The ambassador’s agenda includes an audience with the provincial governor, Archer Mangueira, visits to tourist areas, the city’s cinemas, agricultural projects, the University and the Moçâmedes railways.
