Africa-Press – Angola. Twenty-five citizens of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) were, on Monday, repatriated by the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME), in the province of Zaire, for illegal entry and stay in the national territory.

These are 15 men and 10 women, repatriated through the Nóqui, Luvo, Mpozo, Kanga and Minga border posts.

According to the spokesperson for the Zaire Provincial Command of the National Police, intendant Luís Bernardo, in statements this Tuesday, the aforementioned immigrants entered Angola last Sunday, the 10th, using clandestine routes to escape control. of police forces deployed along the border with the neighboring country.

He explained that, in total, the Border Guard Police in the region questioned and detained, last Sunday, 30 citizens of the DRC in an irregular migratory situation, of which five males were sent to the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME), awaiting procedures legal requirements for their repatriation.

Vessel with 5,250 liters of fuel seized

A homemade vessel carrying five thousand and 250 liters of fuel to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) was seized, on Sunday, by the Border Guard Police, in the municipality of Soyo, for alleged smuggling.

The seizure of the vessel carrying 100 plastic drums of 25 liters each, occurred in the Santo António river channel.

The seized product, which was supposed to be sold in neighboring DRC, was handed over to the local General Tax Administration (AGT).

The province of Zaire shares a 310-kilometer border with the Central Congo region (DRC).
