Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan sprinter Marco Santos failed to qualify for the final of the 200m race, at the African Games in Accra, after placing 5th in the semi-finals, with a time of 21.26, held at the UGH Legon Stadium, in Ghana.
Placed in the second series of the semi-final, the athlete from Petro de Luanda was not careful to reach second place, which will qualify for the final, secured by the Ghanaians Joseph Amoah, first placed, with a mark of 20.93, and Ibrahim Fuseini, second, com 21.03.
In the qualifiers, in the national bid for the Paris2024 Olympic Games, in France, he placed second, with a record of 20.96, breaking his own record (21.01), made in February, at the Pretoria Meeting, in South Africa.
