Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan Jilson Bango, who plays for Basketball Löwen Braunschweig, was included this Tuesday in the starting five of the week, in the Bundesliga (German first division of basketball).
The 25-year-old, 2.08-meter-tall center forward had another excellent performance on Sunday, recording 22 points, eight rebounds, four assists, two blocks and 69 percent shooting from the field.
In addition to Jilson, Dewayne Russel (EWE Baskets Oldenburg), Otis Livingston II (S.Oliver Würzburg), Leandro Bolmaro (FC Bayern Munich) and Trevion William (Ratiopharm Ulm) are among those selected for the ideal five (5) of the week.
This season, the former athlete from the 1° de Agosto club achieved, in 28 matches, an average of 12.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 1.8 blocks, 66.7 percent in shots and 71.2 in free throws, in 24 minutes of play.
In Angola, Jilson Bango represented the Navy (2018-2019) and the 1° de Agosto (2019-2022).
The player has been linked to Basketball Löwen Braunschweig since 2022.
While serving the National Team, he played for Afrobasket (Rwanda) in 2021, where he averaged 9.6 points and 9.6 rebounds as a starting center.
