Africa-Press – Angola. A public service post for the processing of documents related to the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME) was inaugurated, this Tuesday, in the municipality of Cazenga, by the Minister of the Interior, on the occasion of the 46 years of existence of that body, which is marked today.
The structure, located on Rua dos Comandos, next to the Municipal Delegation of Education, aims to facilitate the residents of the municipality of Cazenga in dealing with migratory acts, as they will no longer travel great distances.
The Minister of the Interior, Eugénio Laborinho, underlined that the post represents the Executive’s concern to bring essential services to the citizens, within the scope of the deconcentration of public services.
The spokesperson for the SME, migration commissioner Simão Milagre, informed that the entry into operation of the post served to officially launch the digital forms. With these, he said, citizens no longer pay monetary amounts for the purchase of physical paper forms, instead resorting to the internet for this purpose. He added that the SME is implementing the technical simplification of documents for issuing migratory data.
The administrator of Cazenga Tomás Bica highlighted the importance of installing an SME post in the municipality. “A large number of foreign economic operators who have long clamored for the implementation of these services in the municipality today see this wish fulfilled”, he said.
