Africa-Press – Angola. The president of the Court of Auditors, Sebastião Gunza, defended the strengthening of cooperation between Angola and Brazil, which should involve not only institutions, but above all human capital.The judge made this statement at the Constitutional and Legislative Law Congress of the State of Santa Catarina, in Florianópolis, Brazil, as part of the celebrations of the 35th anniversary of the promulgation of the Constitution of that region.

Sebastião Gunza stressed that cooperation between the two countries must involve, above all, people, with a view to strengthening institutions and making the best use of all opportunities for growth between the parties.

According to the statement, the president of the Court of Auditors highlighted the reciprocity of advantages between Angola and Brazil, having reiterated the importance of strengthening cooperation in all areas of public life.

Regarding Angola, he clarified that work is being done to strengthen institutions and make the best use of all opportunities that arise to satisfy institutional needs.

Sebastião Gunza reiterated the commitment to the continuous development of the Court of Auditors’ capabilities, and considered the exchange of experiences with other jurisdictions to be essential for the improvement of financial supervision and public management in Angola.

Event brings together experts from various areas of Law

The event, which ended on Friday, brought together experts, authorities and professionals from various areas of Law, addressing the advances and challenges of Santa Catarina legislation over the last three and a half decades.

The Constitution of the State of Santa Catarina, which turned 35 this year, was enacted on October 5, 1989, repealing the 1970 Constitution, created during the period of the military dictatorship that governed Brazil.

The participation of Sebastião Gunza in the event, the statement says, reflects the commitment of the Angolan Court of Auditors to the continuous improvement of public governance and the strengthening of international relations with sister countries such as Brazil, with the aim of promoting the exchange of good practices and the strengthening of democratic institutions.
