Africa-Press – Angola. The municipalities of Buco-Zau (Cabinda) and Vale de Cambra (Portugal) have been cooperating since the beginning of this year in the fields of agriculture, industry and technical-vocational training, under a Sister City agreement signed in February.

The mayor of Vale de Cambra, José Pinheiro e Silva, stressed that the twinning foresees the travel of Portuguese businessmen to Buco-Zau to identify and assess the local market and establish partnerships with their counterparts.

For the Mayor of Vale de Cambra, who was speaking at a business forum as part of Expo-Cabinda 2025, his municipality also intends to explore the Buco-Zau timber sector, taking into account its potential in this field.

“We are aware that from the moment the two municipalities established the twinning agreements, the way is open for the development of the two districts in the short, medium and long term,” he expressed.

In turn, the municipal Administrator of Buco-Zau, Óscar Dilo, praised the training aspect included in this twinning, stressing that it will contribute to the development of the region.

He considered Vale de Cambra a municipality with enviable potential in the fields of agriculture and metalworking industry, as well as in the production of wood derivatives.
