Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Teté António, received the honorary consul of Angola for Southern India, Guruswamy Ramaswamy, in New Delhi on Friday morning. The MIREX explained in a press release that it was a courtesy meeting held on the sidelines of President João Lourenço’s state visit to India, where the Honorary Consul gave a summary of all the activities carried out in Angola, with particular emphasis on his contribution to the training of Angolan personnel in the oil sector.

The Honorary Consul of Angola in Southern India plays an important role in promoting bilateral relations between Angola and India.

According to the note, Guruswamy Ramaswamy acts as a point of contact to promote cooperation in areas such as trade, culture and education between Angola and India.

The consul provides basic assistance to Angolan and Indian citizens, including guidance and support services in emergency situations, as well as assisting in issuing visas for Indian citizens wishing to visit Angola, as well as providing information on travel requirements, among other tasks.
