The family is the first place where human dignity must be cultivated, respected and protected, said the president of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira, in Luanda this Thursday. “It is within the family that we learn the value of care, listening and protection”, she added, when speaking at the opening of the colloquium commemorating the International Day of Families, which is celebrated, 15 May.
At the event, which took place under the motto “The family in development”, the president of the National Assembly said that “unfortunately, it is also within the family that, all too often, the deepest wounds are hidden”.
