Africa-Press – Angola. A 48-year-old man accused of intentionally transmitting HIV/AIDS to two 15-year-old girls was arrested last weekend by the National Police in the northern province of Zaire.

According to local police spokesperson Chief Inspector Nicolau Modelo Garcia, the incident occurred on May 22 of this year in the border town of Nóqui, where the suspect allegedly lured the two minors, who live in the capital city of Luanda, without their parents’ consent.

“The accused, who is a neighbor of the girls, invited them to travel from Luanda to the village of Nóqui, promising to buy them clothes at the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo, even though he knew his HIV condition. Once there, he began to sexually abuse them,” the chief inspector explained.

The chief police officer, speaking at the presentation of groups of alleged criminals after their arrest, said that the girls underwent medical examinations at the Noqui Municipal Hospital, where they were diagnosed with HIV.

Two fake SIC agents were arrested.

Two alleged agents of the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) in the municipality of Mbanza Kongo, Zaire, were arrested for extorting money.

According to Pedro Nkosi Pereira, the municipal director of the SIC, the two alleged agents defrauded citizens of large sums of money using fake badges under the pretext of admission to the Ministry of the Interior.

“The two alleged agents received money and individual files from some citizens with the promise of placing them in this military institution,” Pereira said.
