Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan Minister of Transports, Ricardo de Abreu, reaffirmed on Friday, in Lisbon, the total opening of Angola to European investment.

Speaking to the press, on the sidelines of the Eurafrican Forum 2025, carried out by the high sponsorship of the Presidency of the Portuguese Republic, the Minister stressed that Europe also needs the Angola perspective to be open to investment, creating very objective conditions to be done safely and within the standards of profitability and security that economies require.

Ricardo de Abreu recalled that the country remains open for mutually beneficial business and partnerships.

Such partnerships, he said, are not in the sense of a perspective of help, charity, but return investment, with potentiality to promote economic development between Africa and Europe.

He reported that they started a trajectory of seeking to ensure the competition of the International Private Sector for Investment in Angolan Infrastructure, aiming at promoting projects.

The Minister cited the example of the results that have been particularly giving the corridor of Lobito that ‘today becomes a corridor of economic development beyond its own infrastructure.’

He said that ‘Angola wants to take advantage of the potential of other sectors around the corridor, either agribusiness or industrial processing or innovation, technology, tourism, commerce and enhancing this corridor economy so that the country is able to create jobs for youth, to promote knowledge and, above all, the economic progress of the economies of economies. Region, particularly Angola.

The 8th edition of the Eurafrican Forum-one of the most prestigious meetings between Africa and European leaders, runs from Friday to this day, Saturday (July 26), in Carcavelos (Portugal).

The opening of the event was attended by high -level figures, such as the Presidents of the Republic of Angola, João Lourenço, and Portugal Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, leaders of European governments and global references of diplomacy, economy and innovation.
