Africa-Press – Angola. Foreign Affairs Minister Téte António received on Tuesday a message from his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, delivered by Alexander Bryantsev, the Russian Chargé d’Affaires in Angola.
The letter expresses the friendship and solidarity between the two countries and was delivered to the Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Angolan Communities, Domingos Custódio Vieira Lopes, during a meeting in Luanda.
The Russian diplomat requested Angola’s support for Russia’s candidacy in United Nations organizations, including UNESCO.
Secretary of State Vieira Lopes reaffirmed Angola’s commitment to continuing to cooperate with Russia in strategic areas aimed at shared development, as well as in finding solutions for peace, security, and global stability.
