Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Interior, Manuel Homem, carried out a fact-finding visit on Tuesday in Huambo to learn about the construction works of the Center for Minors in Conflict with the Law, which have been paralyzed since 2016 due to a lack of financial resources.

The minister, who did not make any statements to the press, accompanied by the local governor, Pereira Alfredo, received explanations about the work that began in 2013, in the space adjacent to the Cambiote Prison, on the outskirts of the city of Huambo.

Located in an area of 8,400 square meters, the center currently with 77 square meters of physical execution will have the capacity to house 1,200 minors in closed and semi-open regimes.

The center is expected to provide a certain degree of security against invasions and to provide productive activity.
