Africa-Press – Angola. The President of Angola, João Lourenço, fulfilled an intense diplomatic agenda on Saturday marked by several bilateral meetings with leaders and representatives of countries and organizations, on the sidelines of the G20 Summit.

In one of the meetings, João Lourenço met with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Cooperation between Luanda and Ankara was at the center of discussions, focusing on strengthening strategic partnerships in the political, economic and commercial fields.

The Angolan Head of State also met with the Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of China, Li Qiang.

The parties analyzed the evolution of bilateral relations and ongoing projects, reaffirming their mutual interest in deepening cooperation in different areas of development.

João Lourenço also received the Director-General of UNESCO, Khaled El-Enany in a meeting that addressed topics related to education, science, culture, and heritage, sectors considered priorities for Angola within the framework of its partnership with the United Nations.

The Angolan President also met with the Prime Minister of Vietnam, Phan Minh Chinh.

Bilateral relations and opportunities for economic cooperation dominated the dialogue between the two parties.

The diplomatic visit also included a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Zimbabwe, Sheila Chikomo.

The talks focused on strengthening political and commercial relations between Luanda and Hharare.
