Africa-Press – Angola. The President of Djibouti, Ismaïl Omar Guelleh, arrived Sunday (23) in Luanda with the aim to participate in the 7th African Union (AU) European Union (EU) Summit, which is to start Monday.

Ismaïl Omar Guelleh was received at the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport by the minister of Tourism, Márcio Daniel.

With his presence in the capital, the leader of Djibouti will join other heads of state and government of Africa and Europe to establish the basis for strengthening cooperation between the two continental blocs.

The 7th AU-EU Summit will be co-chaired by the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, in his capacity as President Pro Tempore of the African Union, and by the President of the European Council, António Costa.

It will be held under the motto “Promoting Peace and Prosperity Through Effective Multilateralism”.
