Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, traveled in the early hours of Wednesday to Washington DC (United States of America) at the invitation of the US authorities.
Relations between Angola and the United States, spanning more than 30 years, continue to deepen with regular engagements at the highest level.
João Lourenço’s last visit to the United States took place in November 2023, when he was received at the White House by then-President Joe Biden.
At the time, the visit commemorated 30 years of diplomatic relations between Angola and the US, consolidating the political and economic rapprochement between the two countries.
